The first floor full bathroom is the only room in the house that wasn't updated at least once. It really needs a full rip and replace, but we opted to do a light fix-up to make sure it was completed before Gina's graduation party. No one thought to get a before photo, but it was in pretty rough shape so I'm not mad about that.

Gina and Johanne picked out the new hardware and color scheme. We replaced the sinks and faucets, light fixtures, shower rod and rings, towel rack and TP holder. We painted the cabinets, the walls and ceiling, and added a frame around the mirror. We also painted the fan cover that had yellowed over time, but a few sprays from a spray paint can cleaned it up nice. Johanne even upgraded the cats' food and water dishes. (4/6/2021)

The faucet has an open spout, and the new sinks are ceramic. The old sinks were steel and rusting. The faucets weren't much better. I didn't know the hot water didn't work on the sink closest to the door - it works now. I also lined the bottoms of the cabinets and the drawers with panels that had white boards on one side and chalk boards on the back. This makes them much easier to clean. (4/6/2021)

We have a long history in our household of hiding little surprises during home improvement projects. Gina thought it would be funny to put up a picture she drew of Adam Sandler behind the medicine cabinet. I agree. (4/6/2021)
